- Milagros Artist Reception:
First Thursday Art Walk, October 3rd, 5-8pm
ArtXchange Gallery presents Milagros, paintings by William Hernandez. This exhibit opens in October, the Peruvian Month of Miracles and coincides with Seattle Art Museum’s Peru: Kingdoms of the Sun and Moon exhibition. Audiences have the opportunity to explore how Hernandez uses art to create a bridge that spans his past traditions and faith to his life today as an artist, husband, father and Peruvian living in the Pacific Northwest.

Friday, October 11, 6-9pm
Celebrate the Month of Miracles with B A L O R I C O Dance!
Directed by professional dancer/choreographer Vanessa Villalobos, guests will learn about the hybrid culture of contemporary Peru as they learn dance steps of the Afro-Peruvian, jungle, and highlands cultures. After contributing written thoughts on the collaborative What’s your Miracle? Board, the evening will end with a festive procession, time to view the Milagros exhibition by contemporary painter William Hernandez, and opportunity to mingle with dancers and artists.

October 25th, 8pm – Midnight
Join ArtXchange Gallery at the SAM Remix Friday October 25th 8pm – Midnight, where we will be a Co-host for this late-night creative experience, with performances, talks, art making, dancing and more — all connected to Peru: Kingdoms of the Sun and the Moon and SAM’s collection and Milagros, paintings by William Hernandez.
