Commission Process

ArtXchange Gallery has helped many clients commission a special painting to commemorate their family, anniversary, birthday and other celebrations. We also happily work with clients and interior professionals to create the perfect painting for your home, including custom sizes and subjects.

1. * To commission a painting by Marcio Diaz, contact ArtXchange Gallery by email at info@artxchange.org or phone (206-839-0377) to get started. Gallery staff will take notes on your thoughts, preferred color palettes and the needs of your space. We can also assist determine what your needs are.
2. * Next, the gallery staff member discusses your project with the artist to determine his specifications and an estimate of the cost. Prices for Marcio Diaz’s private commissions are comparable to the retail value of his artwork, so visit our Marcio Diaz page if you’d like a sample price range.
3. * ArtXchange Gallery will email you and the artist a project briefing that outlines your discussed preferences, size, reference photos, timeline and price. You and Diaz each have the opportunity to review the outline and ensure it covers the discussed points of the project.
4. * A 50% deposit is taken and the artist begins work.
5. * During the painting process, the client can receive one or two in-progress photos if necessary (for complex or unique projects). Feedback will be sent to the artist.
6. * Finished artwork is delivered to the gallery and remaining balance is paid.
